3^rd International Geography Congress (3^rd INTGC-2011) aims to highlight the various environmental problems associated with development and changing climatic scenarios. The problem of climate change and its ensuing transformations that are to manifest in various sectors of human life on the earth is a crucial area where the Space Technology applications are significant. Environmental perspectives and scientific approaches including modern technologies help to address environmental and societal problems. Geoinformatics can be used assessing various environmental hazards and disasters. The 3^rd International Congress provides a forum to address these interdisciplinary issues and to exchange information and ideas on technological and scientific methods which can help in sustainable management of our natural resources.
